Winning Customer Service Skills for a Winning Team

With some great team building thrown in.

A huge congratulations is in order for Derek Olsen and his team at Olsen Environment. This fantastic team recently earned their business certificate of recognition, after all members of staff completed Edge Communication’s ‘Winning Ways to Communicate With Your Customers’ workshop.

This 1 day course provided the team with all of the necessary customer service skills to ensure customer satisfaction within the organisation and create uniformity for a consistent customer experience.

From fantastic first impressions to friendly customer engagement, the Olsen Environment team is now equipped with the confidence and skills to deliver excellent customer service, and as a byproduct, have achieved some very effective team building.

Ava, who delivered the training, thrived off the positivity and passion in the room. She commented “It was an absolute thrill to work with the fabulous Olsen Environment team and watch their confidence and skills grow”.

The workshop was delivered around Olsen Environment’s brand values, and the team happily worked together to practice aligning their customer experience with their company brand. This will ensure they continue to build trust by keeping their promise to their customers.

Understanding customer behaviours means better customer service

The day started with a Click Colours personality profiling activity to discover why they click with some people and others drive them crazy. The team were delighted to discover more about themselves, their team members and customer behaviours, and how they can adapt their communication style to build better rapport and trust.

They went on to discover the power of a positive first impression, how to take control of a customer service interaction by using more effective questioning and listening skills and how to use customer focused words.

We explored customer needs and expectations, how to manage difficult customers, and stress management techniques to help them stay calm in a heated situation.

The day ended perfectly with them finding ways to leave a lasting impression in the mind of their customers, so that they will rave to others about Olsen Environment .
